Learn More About the Instructor Training at CITA
In January 2023, the Cobb Innovation and Technology Academy (CITA), part of the Cobb County School System in Cobb County, Georgia, hosted a specialized instructor training session focused on cybersecurity education. This training prepared CITA’s cybersecurity instructors to implement Marcraft’s cutting-edge training units in their classrooms, equipping them with the knowledge and resources to teach high-demand cybersecurity skills.
One of the primary units used during the training was Marcraft’s Security & Surveillance Certification Program. This program is designed to teach essential skills for alarm security technicians, who play a critical role in safeguarding homes and businesses. By focusing on the installation, testing, and servicing of security and surveillance systems, this course emphasizes a strong foundation in electrical principles. Through hands-on experience, instructors learned how to guide students through practical exercises, ensuring they can apply these vital skills in real-world scenarios.
A key component of the program is the SS-2000, which prepares students for certifications such as the ETA Certified Alarm Security Technician (CAST). This certification is an industry-recognized credential that opens doors for students looking to enter the fast-growing field of security system installation and maintenance.
By integrating Marcraft’s comprehensive training resources, Cobb Innovation and Technology Academy is empowering its instructors to deliver high-quality cybersecurity education, setting students on a path to successful careers in technology.
With these advanced training tools, CITA is leading the way in providing students with practical, job-ready skills that meet the needs of today’s security industry.
