The perfect training unit for your Uncrewed Aircraft (UA) courses. Students can fly a physical drone in the classroom that’s contained without the use of cages or outdoor requirements.

The Marcraft Drone Technology Essentials System features a tethered uncrewed aircraft, a computer-based ground control station and a hand-held flight controller. The UA can safely rise, descend, tilt and rotate on the tether in response to commands issued from the hand-held controller or the ground control station.

While the Marcraft UAS training system is excellent for any uncrewed aircraft training course, it is designed specifically for use in the Marcraft’s UA Cybersecurity Course. In this course your students will be introduced to topics that begin with what UAs are, how they fly and how they are controlled. This is followed by an introduction to the general tenets and processes involved in cybersecurity and how they apply to UAS environments. Next, the students are introduced to the NIST Cybersecurity Frameworks (CSF) – a document designed to help organizations manage their cybersecurity risks. This document is the best foundational tool for creating cybersecurity for any environment. The SCF discussions are followed by a section covering conventional risk assessment and risk management tools that can be used with uncrewed aircraft to mitigate risks associated with different UAS operations.

At this point, the course changes direction and delves into UAS Penetration Testing tools and techniques. This is followed by an extended study of cyber attack types and how they apply to uncrewed aircraft and their supporting IT infrastructure.

The course then changes directions again, moving from an offensive view of UAS and cybersecurity to a defensive line of study. This section begins with UAS Endpoint security and concludes with UAS data and network security.
