Under the guidance of instructor-led labs, students work in teams of two to three over a 45–60 hour course. The program includes a full range of biofuel production activities:

  • Biodiesel Production: Students recycle used cooking oil to produce clean, renewable biodiesel fuel.

  • Ethanol Creation: Through fermentation and distillation, students learn how ethanol fuel is produced from organic materials.

  • Fuel Purity Testing: Learners perform lab tests to analyze the quality and purity of the fuels they create.

  • Final Application: In the final lab, students use their produced fuels to power a remote-controlled (RC) vehicle—bringing theory and application together in an exciting and memorable way.

The GT-6000 system includes all necessary equipment, lab manuals, and safety guidance. It is designed to align with national CTE and STEM standards, helping educators deliver industry-relevant training in a format that’s engaging and effective.

Marcraft has been a leader in developing hands-on training systems for the CTE market for decades, and the GT-6000 continues that tradition of excellence by preparing students for the future of green technology and energy innovation.
