South Louisiana Community College Teaches Smart Home Technology
In May 2013, South Louisiana Community College (SLCC) in Opelousas, Louisiana, launched a cutting-edge Smart Home Technology Program featuring the Marcraft Residential Electronics Systems Integrator suite of training panels. The program marked a significant advancement in the college’s technical education offerings, aimed at preparing students for the growing smart home and home automation industries.
With the delivery and installation of the Marcraft training systems, SLCC became one of the first institutions in the region to provide hands-on training in residential electronics integration—bridging the gap between traditional electrical education and modern smart home technologies.
